This catalog for a temporary exhibition in the U.S. Embassy in Lusaka, introduces the American art of Sam Gilliam, Pat Goslee, Joyce Kozloff, Susan Pear Meisel, Hiroshi Murata, CE Roser, Steve Sorman, Julian Stanczak, Robert Stark, Pat Steir, and Thornton Willis to viewers many of whom might never travel to the U.S.—playing a vital role in our nation's public diplomacy.	Art Collection of the U.S. Embassy, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia includes 100 works of contemporary art by 52 American and Ethiopian artists who explore how the past informs present circumstance, often through the lens of myth and memory and the metaphor of nature to explore the human condition.
